How do I create my account?

Do I need a class code to use the site?

No. You can practice every book on your own. A class code only connects you to your teacher's class.

How do I join my teacher's class?

Either open the invite link your teacher sent you, or type the class code into the Have a class code box on your dashboard and click Join class.

Can I be in more than one class?

Yes. You can join several classes or programs over time, and your progress always stays with you.

What is on my dashboard?

Where do I find the lesson my teacher assigned?

Assigned lessons appear at the top of your dashboard, marked as assigned. Click one to open it.

What kinds of practice will I do?

Vocabulary with pictures and audio, listening, speaking with your own recording, writing practice checked by the computer, games, and short stories with questions.

How do I hear a word in my own language?

Is my voice recording saved?

No. Recordings stay on your device for you to listen to and are not uploaded or stored.

Each game shows right or wrong immediately, and your dashboard progress cards show how many lessons in each unit you have completed.

Yes. Lessons include a review option that mixes in vocabulary from previous lessons.

How does the leaderboard work?

It is a team score. Every class member who practices adds points to the class total, and classes are compared, not individuals.

How do I opt in to the team leaderboard?

On your dashboard under My classes, turn on the Team leaderboard switch for that class. Turn it off any time.

Why don't I see a leaderboard switch?

Either you have not joined a class yet, or your teacher has not turned the team leaderboard on for that class.

Can my teacher see my scores?

Accepted Answer

Teachers see whether you have been practicing and how much, plus your lesson progress. Individual scores stay private unless you opt in to the team leaderboard.

I forgot my password.

On the sign-in page click Forgot password, enter your email, and follow the reset link sent to you.

I can't sign in.

Check you are using the same email you signed up with, that the account is confirmed, and reset the password if needed.

I hear no sound.

Turn up the device volume, unmute the browser tab, press the listen button once (audio never plays automatically), and try another browser if needed.
